North Brunswick, NJ – Life of the Party, the craft industry’s leading supplier of boutique-quality soap making supplies, has grown to that position quickly and dramatically. They started 15 years ago carving out a niche in a related market and grew into a leadership position in the candy making supplies industry with an arsenal of over 2,000 molds. About 4 years ago, owners Barry & Carole Krinsky identified an opportunity in the crafts arena, and approached soapmaking supplies with the same philosophy that had brought them success in the candy business.

“Our philosophy is to bring professional quality products to the home crafter”, says President/CEO Barry Krinsky: “We are able to concentrate our efforts in a particular niche, addressing that area with a proven success record developed in the candy supplies business. We prefer to go deep instead of broad so that we can be the experts in our category.” As proof, while Life of the Party may have entered crafts with a huge assortment of candy molds, in 3 years they have built hundreds more that are dedicated strictly to soapmaking.

Having the ability to build and produce all of their own molds in their 25,000 square foot plant is just the beginning. Over 60 employees also spend their time manufacturing, filling, assembling and packaging the wide variety of soap bases, fragrances, additives and inserts. ȁWe strive to keep as much of the process in house as possible in an effort to maintain our quality and service record”, boasts Barry.

Carole Krinsky, VP Marketing, concentrates her efforts on developing ingenious, new ideas for home soapmaking: “We believe that Life of the Party has taken soapmaking to the next level, we prefer the term “soap crafting”. The mission was to create a system so simple that even the most casual of crafters could get great results the very first time, while experienced crafters would enjoy the endless potential and depth of creativity that the full range of our program can produce. Our high-quality soap bases, liquid colorants and constantly growing range of innovative inserts and additives keeps the line fresh and exciting.”

At HIA 2002, the company will officially debut a variety of new soapcrafting kits, including the Scrubbie Soap Kit and the Cool Soap Stuff Kit for kids. These exciting products, coupled with the aggressive publicity and education plans, will make 2002 a banner year for this dynamic, innovative company, solidifying their position as “The Source For Soap”.
